A survey campaign will be conducted by SAET from September 17th till October 11th in the territory of the ancient colony, within the project coordinated by Gianfranco Adornato. The campaign will start immediately after closing of the exhibition «Locri e il suo territorio: dalla cartografia storica alla ricognizione archeologica» (August 8th-September 17th 2018, Palazzo Teotino Nieddu del Rio, Locri).
Undergraduate and PhD students in Archaeology at SNS, research fellows and archaeologists from SAET, and PhD students at the University of Calabria will be involved in the campaign.
The research is carried out by Scuola Normale in cooperation with Soprintendenza Archeologia della Calabria and Museo e Parco Archeologico Nazionale di Locri – Polo Museale Calabria.
The results will be presented in the press conference at the end of the survey campaign.
