SAET collaborates with the FACEM project (Fabrics of the Central Mediterranean) directed by Verena Gassner (Universität Wien) and funded by FWF ( Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung). The project aims at an inventory of all the ceramic productions in the ancient Mediterranean, which is essential to the reasearch on the circulation of commercial products.
SAET has provided samples of ceramic items and production waste from Rocca d’Entella (Contessa Entellina, PA), site of the ancient Entella, together with technical files and an historical and archaeological context.
Entella is now officially included among the most ancient centers of ceramic production in the central Mediterranean area.
