This exhibition offers several paths centered on the territory and on the rural settlements in the area of the ancient Locri Epizephyrii. Thanks to the 2017 survey campaign, scholars identified ways and periods of land occupation from proto-historic times to the Hellenistic age. Among the archeological structures explored during the survey there are cave tombs, farms dating to the late archaic period, areas devoted to stone extraction, and transport routes. In addition to the survey, scholars carried out a careful study of historical cartography, iconography, and ancient toponymy, with the aid of 3d modeling. The goal is to achieve a better dissemination of scholarly knowledge by creating detailed overviews of ancient buildings and structures.
