New research and activities on the site of the ancient town of Locri Epizefiri and its territory started in September 2016 thanks to a plurennial agreement for cooperation between the Scuola Normale Superiore, the Soprintendenza Archeologia della Calabria and the Polo Museale della Calabria. All activities are traced, agreed upon and promoted in close collaboration with the Parco Archeologico of Locri and Kaulon, directed by Rossella Agostino, and are part of the projects of SAET. They will be coordinated by Gianfranco Adornato, under the direction of Andrea Giardina. The Laboratory has chosen the town of Locri as a special observatory in the archeological sector and as a training field for SNS students.
