On Monday April 29th, starting at 9.30 p.m., the workshop Archeologia del culto. Forme e spazi del sacro ad Akragas will be held in Sala Stemmi, Palazzo della Carovana, and live-streamed via Microsoft Teams.
The workshop focuses on the idea of sacredness in the natural and anthropic landscape of Agrigento and other neighboring cities. The sacred permeates and defines the very image of ancient cities in sacred, civic and residential spaces. Ongoing studies and field investigations within the Valley of the Temples Archaeological and Landscape Park reveal new physiognomies of ritual forms and practices, of cults and deities of the local Pantheon, of architectures and spaces.
